Brushing IS For Babies
Childhood cavities are a thing of the past, when adults have the knowledge and take action!
Did you know:
- Since 1992, the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry has recommended that an infant’s first dental visit occur at the eruption of the first tooth, or at the first birthday, whichever comes first?
- Pediatricians and even dentists often say not to bring kids to a dentist until they are three. By then, the damage can be well underway.
- They’re not just “baby teeth”! Healthy habits last a lifetime--poor habits create high risk for lifelong dental problems.
- Most adults who fear the dentist had bad childhood dental experiences that stayed with them for a lifetime.
Do you have, live with, work with, or take care of infants and children? Do you know anyone who does? This includes:
- Parents
- Parents-to-be
- Grandparents
- Caregivers
- Teachers
- Healthcare providers
